Course Details

The course fosters intellectual and clinical development of dentists allowing them to extend and deepen their analytical and practical skills which underpin their daily practice.

You will learn with the most advanced dentistry education providers, and we ensure you receive a rounded and robust education and through delivering in-depth seminars, interactive problem-based scenarios, and simulated clinical training to reach a high level of proficiency.

The course aims to graduate confident senior practitioners able to do effective evidence-based practice within complex multidisciplinary teams. It also aims to equip practitioners with appropriate skills to treat challenging general dental cases.

As part of the course, we support our students to get registered with the GDC as Dental Therapists and help them to gain employment whilst they study.

Masters of Science (MSc) in Advanced General Dental Practice

Master’s of Science (MSc) in Advanced General Dental Practice
Length of course: 1 year
180 UK credits, 90 ECTS credits, 36 US credits

This programme is taught at the MSc level and is a one-year full time. This programme not only delivers the knowledge and skills required for the ORE and LDS examinations, but also graduates the students with a Level 7 University degree. The students are also mentored to gain registration as Dental Therapists to practice within the scope of a dental therapist of a dental hygienist whilst training for ORE or LDS examination.

English Language Requirements

Our courses require a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, with no band score under 5.5. If you do not meet the English language requirement we will give you a conditional offer subject to you meeting the requirement before the commencement of the course.

  • The course includes focused tuition and intensive training on ORE and LDS curricula
  • Tuition on dental implantology and digital dentistry is included
  • It also incorporates research education and supervision with concludes with a dissertation
  • Students graduates with a Level-7 MSc University degree (Ulster University)
  • The College will sponsor the candidates on a one- year study visa
  • Mentorship to register as a dental therapist, which enables candidates to work as a DT whilst preparing for the ORE or LDS examination
